Reviews are most useful when they reflect the full range of genuine client experiences. A trustworthy system asks consistently for honest feedback; it does not identify delighted clients first and route unhappy clients somewhere private to protect a public rating.
Use a neutral request
A simple invitation can say that feedback helps future clients and the studio, and that an honest account is welcome. Avoid asking specifically for five stars, implying that staff compensation depends on a positive review, or pressuring a client while they are still in the treatment chair.

A fair request system
- Choose a consistent trigger, such as a routine follow-up message.
- Invite honest feedback in neutral language.
- Make the public review link easy to access without preselecting a rating.
- Offer a separate service channel for private help, but do not use it to divert criticism.
- Record consent before reposting a review, photo or private message in marketing.
Incentives can undermine trust and may violate platform rules, especially when conditioned on a positive rating. If any general feedback incentive is considered, obtain local advice, disclose it where required and ensure sentiment does not affect eligibility.
Responding to a critical review
- Pause long enough to answer accurately and calmly.
- Acknowledge the stated experience without disclosing treatment details.
- Invite direct contact through a secure channel.
- Investigate records and safety concerns privately.
- Correct factual operational problems where possible.
- Do not argue, threaten, reveal health information or ask others to attack the reviewer.

Measure more than star average
Monitor themes, response time, repeat complaints, resolution quality, review volume relative to real appointments and whether marketing claims match records. A perfect-looking score created by gating or pressure is less valuable than credible feedback that improves the service.
Protect authenticity
Never buy reviews, create staff or family reviews that imply independent client experience, copy reviews between platforms without permission, or use AI to invent testimonials. Clearly disclose material relationships with ambassadors or gifted services where required.
